Regarding Express Entry 50 points claim

Hi Everyone,

I have been working in Canada on full time since 4 years on ICT work permit which is valid until 14-Sep-2021. Therefore, In this case, I have one more year to stay on work permit from now. My work permit cannot be extended due to 5 years maximum stay clause. However, I have got a new offer letter for next two years from same employer as permanent employee. I am not sure if CIC officer checks work permit validity should be synched with offer letter validity. Can someone please let me know if I am eligible to claim 50 points for job offer?

Since you'd be applying for PR, your lack of eligibility for another work permit is irrelevant. The employer is offering to continue your employment as a condition of your PR application.

Furthermore, after four years of skilled work in Canada you should have plenty of points even without a job offer, no?

No, due to my age factor and other reasons I have not enough points. Therefore, I want to claim 50 points offer letter which is valid for next 2 years although my work permit expiry is next year september 2021 and it cannot be further extended. kindly advise if i can claim the offer letter point.
