Happy to have Alberta Class 5 Advanced Driving License today!
The credit must go to Mr. Vipin Kumar and Mrs. Shalu Kumar of Anand Driving School at Millwoods, Edmonton. They are professional, punctual and supportive. They motivated me, cleared all my doubts and made me fit by all means in a week time. It is difficult to get such instructors who is dedicated, committed and they follow up, doesn’t leave hand the student until he/she becomes a good driver and successful in the exam. I recommend them and contact no is +1 780 2711266.

Yes, you can, if you can prove 2 years driving experience.

My experience in Ontario is that they don't ask for driving experience for a UK licence. They have the correct dates on the photo card and this is what they use. They were not at all interested in the official documents from the UK DVLA.

Thanks for your replies,

Does that mean that if my UK licence was issued last year then I can't exchange it ??

I believe that is probably correct. You can certainly try, and if not, you may get some time credit towards taking a Canadian test. Look at your specific provinces rules.
This is for Ontario for example... http://www.drivetest.ca/EN/licencing/Pages/Exchanging-a-Reciprocal-Licence.aspx

With driving experience of less than two years in the last three years:

· You will be eligible to do an exchange of your licence, equivalent to Ontario’s class ‘G2’ novice licence. You must serve the remainder of the mandatory wait period before you are eligible to take the "G" road test to get a full Ontario class ‘G’ licence.

Very helpful information! Thank you +1
