Regarding credential assessment

Did anyone in this forum applied for an education credential assessment to ICAS. Could you plz tell me about the procedure. How long it takes and , beside documents from my end, do they also need to receive the documents necessary from the institution where I studied. Is it mandatory? what is the fee for credential evaluation for a masters degree?

ICAS processes ECA report in 15 weeks time, as per their website.

Their "required docs" page for your specific country will have details on which docs need to be sent to them, how they are to be sent to them.

here's how I did it.
I filled the online form, paid their fee, I forgot how much was that because it's couple years ago. sent my all original educational certificates( they told me not to send English tests such as IELTS or TOEFL) by mail. They took 17 16 business days. As soon as they got the credential report they scan that and sent in my email. I got original after a week by post.

If they have any concerns about your certificate or education they might call your educational institution, however I don't think they do it often. As long as you got all documents, they don't need no receive anything from your institution.

one question. did you do your masters or degree assessment? i want to do my masters and i wonder if that could have the same procedure as that of yours, as i have no one there its difficult for me to get the documetns being send from the institutaion where i studied.

I'm outside Canada. I'm in Pakistan. I'v done my MSCS (Masters in Computer Science) from a local chartered University. I'v applied for ECA from CES in Nov 2014. They are telling me, I'll get my ECA report in April/May 2015.

my concern is that i have all my original documents to be assessed in ICAS. Should I contact my previous school institution to send all my credentials to icas even though i have my original ones with me?
