Regarding Canadian Passport application

Hello All,
My wife and I have received invitation for oath which is scheduled for January 13 2015. Below is the timeline on our joint application:

Application submitted: June 09 2013
AOR: September 23 2013.
Appeared for citizenship exam on November 28 2014
Invitation for oath: January 13 2015.

My question is, can we apply for the passport on the same day we take the oath or do we have to wait for 24 hours and can only apply the following day?

Please advise.

Hello, at our ceremony, CIC official told us to wait two business days before applying for a passport (they gave us the precise date on which we could apply)
