Regarding AOR

Hi All,
I have question related to AOR.

I've submitted my application on October 27th which is 3 days before and tracking status is delivered .

Through forums I learned Acknowledge of Receipt(AOR) is taking 2.5 months or may be more .Is it still taking same time?.

Im bit confused here if at all I need to provide any document such as PCC do I need to wait until I get AOR ?

I've submitted Police clearance certificates from (India, Sweden, UK ) along with application , one of the countries PCC is about to expire (i.e issued more than 3 months even having 1 yr validity) so I would like to send these document.

I know PCC are mandatory to send along with the application and we can send them when they request.I guess I cant send until I get File Number isn't?.

Also, I've seen few cases if at all application package missing any mandatory documents CIC sending back application package for these cases still we have to wait 2.5 months? How does it work in this case .

PCC is not mandatory document to be sent along with application , You can wait for AOR and Provide new ones,

Just submit PCC once you have it. If you wait for them to ask for it, it may unnecessarily delay things.

I already submitted as one of the countris PCC is about to expire (i.e certificates are issued more than 3 months prior to submitting the application) but my question is if I apply new ones now then I need to submit them with in 3 months as per rules.

there is no point of applying now if i need to submit PCC's after i get AOR which is currently taking 2.5 months. if I need to submit only after I get AOR then how much time they will give to submit new PCC's

If I want to submit PCC without having AOR how I can send it ?.

Whatever you did, that is correct...

It's better to wait until they ask if anything they required... AOR timelines are not same always.. I can say min. 20 days and max 3 months..

Usually they give enough time to submit the PCC... i.e. 2 months..

If in case any mandatory document missing I know they are going to send back the entire application does any one have time limit. will they return in week time or we need to wait weeks .

Since I've plans to go to UK for 2 weeks I would like to know this answer.

Yes - wait till AOR and you get 60 days to give any document that is asked for

I submitted the PCC which was almost 9 month old. I obtained all my PCC residing in canada and did not leave the country post when i got it.

I submitted PCC from USA, Germany and India all more than 3 months old. They never asked me any documents. So it is really the check they do. If they are satisfied with your PCC and determine no further check is to be done, then you are fine

I feel it is usually based where you obtained the PCC. If you obtain it residing in Canada then they know that you are already here and that PCC will not change since you never left canada. It makes logical sense to me and hence they did not ask me probably

They give 60 days to in case of mine once they made request .

Thanks for your responses Well anyway I've sent the application with the covering letter and I clearly mentioned it.

Well if they ask then still I've 60 days so I can easily get it.
