Hi all,

i have posted my application for PR yesterday and i just noticed that the reference letter that i have produced does not have my salary mentioned ( slapping myself for not checking this one ) . Could someone tell me what needs to be done ? the post has not reached CIC and is there a way i can attach a letter separately and send them , in that case, how do i cross reference that letter with the application that i have sent them ?

Regards,
Savio

I too did the same mistake, not mentioning salary details in the reference letter. Anyways, what would happen now most probably is that you file will be kept under review and will take sometime for the VO to have a look. You will not get your medicals until that review is complete.
BTW, did you send any document which has your salary info...T4, paystubs etc??

If I were you, I would send new reference letters which includes salary details and without changing the other data. Just include a cover letter which states why you are sending new letters along with your details like UCI#, First name, last name, DoB and mailing address.

After I get my AoR, I would apply for the GCMS notes to see if the new reference letters were added to the file.

You will need to wait until you receive your AOR. When you receive it, send a revised letter.

i have attached my T4 and NOA ,but not my pay slips. Would i be able to send an updated reference letter immediately ?
Is there a chance the file gets sent back to me before getting an AOR ?

There is a chance but it's very unlikely.

You will need to wait until you receive the AOR before sending the revised letter as the AOR will contain your file number.

I think you will be fine but you'll just need to wait and see.

Hi,

If you mailed it yesterday there is a possibility that it is still in your city of origin. I made a mistake with my PR application that I realized after mailing it with Canada Post. I called the Post Office next day and found that my application package was still lying there waiting to be shipped and was able to retrieve it.

Call your Post Office or the courier company.

T4 2014 is not finished, so you should send pay stub. or I think they will ask for 2014 T4 when it would be ready.

should i wait till i get my AOR or send them an updated letter right away ?

You don't have a file number so you can't send it right away - that's what I've already told you. If you send it now it's unlikely it will be attached to your file.

what I heard is that if you send a letter right now before getting AOR , they wont be able to track your application but give a shot , send your document as soon as possible.

Thanks. i just want to make sure i get AOR . and if there are any chances they send the package back to me for this missing information !! i am sure they would ask me to submit my 2014 T4 sometime. Am hoping its not that complicated and its a common mistake !!!

Again it's very unlikely but you really don't have an option. This is exactly why everyone should review their paperwork properly before sending int he applications.

The applications are only supposed to be subject to a "completeness" check initially so assuming everything else is in order, you should be okay. However, when you receive the AOR, send the required paperwork immediately along with an explanation.
