Refused visit/tourist visa

Hi admin/all,
I need your response ASAP, my husband applied for visitors visa on behalf our family ie with our 2 kids, our application was rejected on the following basis
1. Husband, a. Family ties in Canada and country of residence, hubby is from a large family, although his father is deceased, he listed his family info during our online application, he doesn’t have family in Canada,
B. Purpose of visit: we stated categorically that we intend to spend the next Easter holiday(2018) with our kids in Canada, hotel reservations and airline reservations were attached, our very close family friends also sent us invitation letters with their PR card info, they confirmed that we were welcome to stay with them during visit.
C. Current Employment situation: my husband runs his own company and he is doing pretty well, company registration docs and government tax papers were also included. He would require little or no financial support from me for our vacation.

Reasons for my refusal:
A.Family ties in Canada/country of residence. Both my parents are deceased, they passed about 1 1\2 year apart, they had both been married to separate partners before they met each other, they were also separated long before they passed on, my mother had a daughter in her previous marriage, this daughter happens to be the closest family I have, apart from our last names, you wouldn’t be able to tell that we are half sisters, however my father had numerous other children, who I practically know nothing about, I am not sure where they are, their last names or what they do for a living, when we completed the online application, I put in only my half sister’s name, bear in mind I have numerous maternal family members that are very close to me.
B. Purpose of visi: already covered in Hubby’s response.

Also note that, we have been to the UK a number of times, we returned from a holiday in the US in August, we included all our itinerary across the US.

I would like to know the following,
1. How soon can we reapply(we were refused last week)
2. Am I expected to list family members that I know nothing about, though I won’t be surprised if some of my siblings reside in Canada,
3. Do we have to go back for Biometrics collection( we had our bio taken mid November)
4. We weren’t given room to reapply, do we need to pay for Biometrics?
5. What other documents does my husband need to submit to prove he owns his business?

First, you must not limit your new applications to just the refusal reasons cited for the previous TRV apps.

You'll need to post more information:
1. For how long did you want to visit?
2. Did you submit a clear, well-thought out plan for each day of your visit? Did you prove you can afford this itinerary and airfare?
3. What documents did you submit for each applicant?
4. What strong ties can each applicant prove? For example: Employment/business/study + property ownership or rent contract + financial situation + any dependent family members?
5. How old are your children? What do they do?

I would like to know the following,

You can reapply even tomorrow IF you prove that you have overcome the refusal reasons + you are a genuine visitor.

2. Am I expected to list family members that I know nothing about, though I won’t be surprised if some of my siblings reside in Canada,

Yes, you must list all half-siblings, step-siblings, step-parents, etc

3. Do we have to go back for Biometrics collection( we had our bio taken mid November)

Yes. You must provide your biometrics for each new visa application

4. We weren’t given room to reapply, do we need to pay for Biometrics?

Yes, you must pay for biometrics for each new visa application.

5. What other documents does my husband need to submit to prove he owns his business?

What documents did he submit? What is the nature of his business i.e. self-employed or does he have employees? Does the business have any business partners? Is his business audited every year? Does he have a lease agreement/ownership for his office?

Response: No daily plan but our hotel reservation et al

Response: we did state that we will be in Canada for about 3 weeks as we plan to spend the final 1 week traveling through the US back home

Response: our children’s birth certificate and school records

4. What strong ties can each applicant prove? For example: Employment/business/study + property ownership or rent contract + financial situation + any dependent family members?

5. How old are your children? What do they do?

Response: our children are 9 and 5, in primary school, we have mostly applied for visas together and traveled together, we all traveled to the US together July/August

I don’t know very much about my half siblings, where They are or what they do for a living, I don’t know their last names, for the married ones, there are columns in the form that asks for country of residence and occupation + if I were able to provide some names, should I add them on the new application or in my letter of explanation stating why I hadn’t mentioned them in my previous application, would this be tenable? Am I allowed to put in just names for the ones I remember and leave out their occupation and country of residence? Isn’t it too late to add all these?

Response: he is self employed, has a few staff, mostly hired hands on contract basis
Submitted coy registration documents, tax documents, bank papers and contracts documents, purchasing orders etc.
Yes, there is a lease:agreement for his office

Perhaps it would be best if you research your family history (or hire a genealogist) to check for siblings/ half siblings/ step siblings etc.... use birth records, census data, speak with relatives/friends of your parents, etc.

As you need to go back just one generation i.e. to your dad and your mom, it should be relatively easy.

This way, you wouldn't declare any incorrect details in your TRV application which could be construed as misrepresentation (and in a worse case result in a 5-years ban)

You must list them in the Family Information form + you can include an explanation also.

Again, this list of siblings/half or step siblings is the least of your worries for your TRVs. Your bigger concern would be to address the previous refusal reasons

Thank you Bryanna, I was refused based on family ties in Canada and back home and purpose of visit I shall address it as per your advice
