My name is Uma Viswanathan, and I am a citizen of India. With regard to my application for Temporary Resident Visa referred above, I have received your letter denying visa to me as I have not satisfied you about my leaving Canada at the end of my proposed stay, on account of the following reasons:
1. My Travel History
2. My Immigration Status
3. My Purpose of Visit
4. My Personal Assets & Financial Status
I wish to submit the following in this regard, for your kind re-consideration:
1. Travel History: I have travelled for the second time to USA, during the last two years, and applied for Canada Visa from USA on both the occasions, with all the supporting documents including details of my personal assets & financial status. This I did, as I had forgotten to submit the property papers when I applied for the first time from India in May 2009. I applied from USA in June 2009, as I had no time to re-apply from India, as I had to leave for USA immediately after my visa was denied in the first instance, in India in May 2009.
The reason for my not applying from India now, is purely a matter of coincidence, as I had no plan to travel to Canada during my present visit to USA, and thought about it only after reaching USA when happened to establish contact with my high school friend through facebook. I had stated this background in my covering letter submitted alongwith my visa application referred above.
Hence, I wish to submit that my application from USA for Canada visa, is purely coincidental, and I had no other reason for not applying from India.
2. Immigration Status: I had submitted with my application referred above, the original I-94 card issued by USA immigration officer, when I entered into USA on June 28, 2011. Although I have been permitted as per this I-94 card to stay in USA until end of 2011, my return ticket to India is already booked for August 28, and the copy of the confirmed ticket was also submitted alongwith my visa application.
Hence, my present immigration status should not be raising any doubt about my genuine intention to leave Canada at the end of 3 days of my proposed visit for Tourism.
3. Purpose of Visit: I have no other purpose of visit to Canada, other than tourism, which I have stated clearly in my visa application. I have been genuinely longing to visit this beautiful country, especially the world-famous Niagara Falls.
4. Personal Assets & Financial Status: At the time of my first application in May 2009, I had forgotten to submit my property details in India. During my second application in USA in June 2009, I had submitted all necessary property documents in India. During my recent application referred above, I had again submitted my property details, and also my employment details, as I have entered into employment service contract in December 2010, with an Indian employer. I had submitted with my visa application the details of my service contract, my bank account, and also Income Tax Deduction certificate issued by my hat I have submitted all necessary documents in support of my links in India, and adequately expressed my determination to return to India, as per my flight schedule on August 28, 2011.
I appeal to you once again to re-consider my application, and grant me Temporary Resident Visa to visit Canada for 2 to 3 days to visit places of interest.
