yes ,from my experience ....whatever you think might be misinterpreted by an officer must be explained in the cover letter before hand.

and hopefully it should come through for you as well.... I have not used my study permit since i got it and kept working and applied for another work permit before my previous one expired ...so that made it bit complicated for me but it should be fine for you hopefully.

2 things I am most concerned about is the matching of NOC code with my job duties and having a study permit at the same time.

My study permit is not even a regular university or college study permit..........Its strictly says just for CGA

I don't know whether I should drop CGA and give away my study permit or should I continue and hope for the best

Hi Everyone ,

I received my GCMS notes today for the file that got rejected.

What should I possibly look at ,inorder to understand what did the VO think , I dont see anything special in them.

And also I can see the note they have on it saying they received my request for reconsideration.

PA was Employed while on a student authorization and the time cannot be considered as the qualifying work experience. Same as in the refusal letter

What if someone has study permit for CGA only?

Im so confused?

How come your lawyer didn't mention this since these guys are experts?

I am yet to receive a reply from cic...

This is the same reason as in refusal letter. But I never used my study permit.

I would have been worried if they had mentioned something like working "illegaly" or somethiing while on a student permit.

I am not sure about the CGA thing. If mine goes through with two permits at the moment , then yours should not be a problem at all.

Nothing to conclude before i hear from CIC

The wait is just killing me.

I just need to hear a yes or no. ...On the other hand I get positive too ...that maybe they are verifying everything with my spousal application and implied status and that is what is holding them back.But its been a long time still.

Just want a yes or no .

And lawyers man... I have been to atleast 5 or 6 lawyers who are best known in Toronto.(G&S,mammon and sandaluk) to name two of them.
And really I always get disappointed with their consultation and approach.I really dont think they know/can do anything more than reading the guidelines carefully for you and thats all about it.

Unless and until you are going for a judicial review.
Because all these cases and the criterias for them are very straight forward. And when it comes to situations like these ,I think its really on the discretion of the officer thats looking into the case.
I have read always got a mixed answer for my situation. My lawyer s very confident that its the mistake on their part ,so are some of the people on here ,though some seniors on here have told me that the new permit overrides the older.

But i havent been able to confirm it anywhere.Everytime i call CIC ,they tell me its perfectly fine.
And they have considered to review it too.

So really , what to believe at the end of the day?Like I dont know man.Its frustrating.

SO , I got the first approval from my Sponsorship application

AND for my CEC application the status has been changed from DECISION MADE to APPLICATION RECEIVED.

So I think they have reopened it !!!

HENCE , Applying for another permit DOES NOT OVERRIDE THE PREVIOUS ONE.

YOU CAN HOLD MULTIPLE PERMITS AT THE SAME TIME AS WELL.

AND SAADT YOU ARE GOOD TO GO. ;D
