Refusal letter

Hi.
I applied for Canada visitor visa spouse case.i submit my file 3 August 2017 and after 28 days they sent my passport without visa and they sent a letter with passport.(in this letter they said important information regarding your application has been sent to you by mail ) but we didn't receive any mail still 7 November 2017. We don't know why they refuse us.help me please

Did you link your paper application to your online MyCIC account for updates before your passport was returned? If yes, then do check there for the refusal reasons
