hi my name is gagandeep singh , my qualification is btech with 62% marks in electronics and comm, ielts score 6.5, with 2 year exp in micro controller field , i have applied for pg diploma program in centennial in electro mechanical automation and robotics but now got rejected they said ur proposed subjects dont match with your previous subjects now im confused dont knw wat to do please help

Why are you applying for PG diploma

Apply for Masters and your application will be accepted !

Yea there is course mismatch and also VO's don't usually accept if you are trying to study something that you already learned or some course which has lower credits ???

Bro the thing is I took this program Bcz rest all r filled now I'm thinking abt to apply for January batch so if I change my course electronics engg technician do you think I will be able to get my visa Bcz I have to change my sop letter too for tht. Bcz I have to co relate the course and our consultants were telling tht vo will note tht u alrdy wrote ur intrested was in robotics now how can I change tht so may b u will get again refusal as ur saying same subjects also will lead to refusal Bcz I seen the subjects which are in electronics engg technician course are all most same so do u think I will get my visa or not pls help guys

well the reason for rejection was ur course so keeping course same will get u the same result again. u need to change ur course as electro mechanical is from mechanical students . also if u can get into master's program that will improve ur chances too. 62% is a little low for masters but u can still apply for a few universities .

the program u choose belongs to mechanical/robotics/ EEE students nt ECE guys...change u course

hi i m also frm ece nd i chose business mangment pg diplma bt got rejectd due to course. I reapplied with same course explaing my intentns behind takng that course nd future plans in visa support letter..i cnt change course coz in my first applicatn i have clearly shown my intentns in sop y i m intrestd in that course nd if i chngd course vo may think i only want to enter canada..however, lot of ece guys are already studyng that course in canada..bt in ur case u have choosen vry irrelevant course..i suggest u hire ny official cnsultant or lawyer frm canada who cn guide u well. Guys can I opt for electronics engg technician course in my sop I can tell them tht all even robotics and electronics are interlinked with eachother because where ever there is need of robots there is always electronics work needed over it

electronics engnrg techncn is a program for undergraduates. U cant choose that course after b.tech. However,one guy in this forum with same profile have got visa on that course but still chances are less..go for masters or pg course

Yes electronics engg technician is a pg course of 1 year fast track program I will hopefully take it now and process for it

bro..

I think there is no problem with the course... But u should have given a SOP along with your application explaining more about the course because sometimes visa officer needs to know more about the course.

Hi,

I done B.Tech in 2009 and MBA in 2012. After that i m having 2 year work exp as a Network Administrator. My IELTs score is 6.5 . I applied under spp for this sept2014 intake for the Graduate Certificate Course (Networking) in Durham College. My visa got rejected stating reason that my course is not relevant with my past studies. I m really in tention what to do next. Which course should i opt? And most importantly can i apply again under spp for next January 2015 intake?

Should i go for PG diploma?
