When they refer to immigration status it means you are living somewhere where you are not a citizen. They want to be satisfied that you will return to your home country after graduation as there is no guarantee you can return to Saudi Arabia or anywhere else, but since you have not been living there it is harder to establish those ties to your country of citizenship.

Can you please advice me on this note recieved from the VO

" Applicant wished to study Web Development, Although I believe this applicant has been studying this subject matter I do not believe a trajectory to study this topic in Canada is needed for success and Applicant has not demonstrated significant ties to home Country"

It means what it says. In your letter of explanation/statement of purpose, did you address why you wanted to study in Canada and not in the country where you are now or in your home country, where it would presumably be less expensive? And since you have been living abroad, what are your ties to your home country? Do you have family or job prospects there after graduation?

Thanks for the reply, I consulted a Lawyer to assist me in reapplying and she stated exactly the reasons you mentioned. Why I choose to study in Canada and not my home country and I also attached a Job offer tied to the current study program which I will start as soon as I graduate... she also covered ties showing evidence of business and family in my home country

From your own point of View do you think there is a High or Low probability of success after my lawyer successfully addressed theses reasons.

Hi I need your advice. I’m here in Saudi Arabia as a worker and I haven’t heard anyone come here to study. My reason I’m still here because my ticket going back to my country was cancelled 3x and also explained in my SOP why I wanted to study in Canada I didn’t even renew my contract I have showed them the contract and also my ABSHER (website in Saudi where all your information is there )

Apply GCMS notes.

Hello @ohbruh,

I applied the GCMS notes (Privacy Act) for my brother. I submitted the request on his behalf and also uploaded the consent form. He is not in Canada and is the principal applicant. I have a PR and based on the different answers I found on this forum - some people said that they were able to get GCMS notes for their spouse just because they are related to them.

Do you think I should apply for the ATIP instead?

Your brother need to fill the consent form and signed with blue ink. Then you can use that form (scanned copy) to request notes. I am sorry if I misunderstood your question.
