Refund from wrong application

Hi,

I applied for the PR Card in the beginning of this year by mistake (before being granted a PR status) and got my documentation back with a letter saying that my fee ($540.00) was going to be refunded for future use. I paid with a credit card and never got this money back.

After many MONTHS, I got to speak to a CIC representative and she said that the money was returned in the application form, meaning that the paper I filled up with my credit card info could be used in a future application. I think she mistakenly thought the money never left my account as there is no such paper or instruction on the returned application.

It also has the adress of a certain HPM Production in case I want to receive a refund for fees paid to a bank in Canada. I paid through credit card directly, so I don't think this concerns me.

Have any of you experienced such a thing. If so, what was done to solve it?

Thanks
Fabricio

Dude this money is not refundable on refusal of application. She guide you wrong but im 100% sure that you cannot get this money back. When you submit new application then you have to repay this money again. It a charging of services which they are provided.

His application wasn't processed and thus the fee was not consumed. But he paid online, so I suspect the point they were making is that he can still use the payment receipt he was previously issued - just print a new copy and send it along with the new application.
