Refugees travel without work-permit and without PR

I traveled with my travel document last year and I do not have PR. I have a work permit but I did not carry it and no agent or officer asked me about it, so I personally dont think having a work permit will impact your ability to travel.
Are you an asylum claimant or have you been approved as a protected person? Fairly unusual for a refugee not to have a WP but an RTD. Even if not working the ability to work is important if they are applying for benefits.
