Do you all think is unfair to us (who already work our ass off with the application and work experience esp canadian experience)? I get that those refugees are from troubled country and I feel bad for them. But I think that just by working in Canada, aren't we helping Canada's economy system by paying taxes? And those taxes again goes back to us AND those refugees?

Canada offers a chance for a better life for those who choose it, and one for those that have no choice.

Very well answered!

At least those taxes come back to you in Canada. Here in India I pay a sh*t load but nothing comes back.

Canada is being gracious and welcoming to those who have to run away from their homes to protect their lives. It's not the refugees fault. It's their crazy government who can't protect their people. When something like this happens, the international community has to open their door to save human lives. Some refugees will show their gratitude by working hard and contributing while others will be shameless and live on the dole. This doesn't mean because they got free entry, they will live on the dole. Nothing is stopping new permanent residences from going on the dole once their proof of funds run out and they are unable to sustain themselves. I'm sure the Canadian government is smart enough to admit as many people as they can support.

+1

How is being human and kind to people in need unfair? Ones responsibility doesn't stop at just paying taxes.

What is truly unfair is innocent people have to suffer for something they aren't even a part of.Refugees are not coming there by choice but compulsion. They have lost everything. They are willing to work and earn for their family.
CEC got experience coz Canada gave them that opportunity. So before that they were like everyone else here waiting for that opportunity.

Suppose there is war in our homeland and countries like Canada close their doors to our families?

Depends on what you think is fair. Do you think it's fair that you get to live in a safe environment with a roof over your head while others get slaughtered for their beliefs?
