i submitted this form many times and called IRCC too they send the same thing, my question is should we apply by mail? and then ask them to process our travel document urgently?

It seems they did not consider your reason urgent. Reasons for urgent travel is defined very clearly in here:

• for a medical reason because you have a serious illness
• because of the serious illness or death of someone you know
• because you’ll have financial problems from the loss of a job or business
• to support an essential service
• for humanitarian reasons
  • You need a letter from your organization that lists the humanitarian reasons

If you do not have proof or proper document that explains your travel is urgent, they may not approve your urgent request.

You can mail your application to passport canada but I do not think they will process as urgent.

I wonder how that actually works, if you visit the International Calgary Airport webpage, You'll see there's flights going and coming to and from the US. Dallas, Chicago and L.A. to name a few...

I believe only land borders are closed . Air travel is not

We need the guarantor and references even for renewing a travel document?

You cannot apply it Online, you need to download the form and fill it , Attach supporting documents, you also need 1 guarantor and 2 References, see the Guidance for Guarantor eligibility.

Hello everyone,

Has anyone applied for an RTD recently? I need to apply for one and I was wondering when to fill in for urgent processing web form. Is it after I sent my paper application by mail and get an application number/confirmation from passport services or can I do it without any confirmation and fill the form right after I send the mail? Do you have any idea on the time =line if the urgent processing? Many thanks in advance.

I got mine today, i applied on 06-march-2020. I hope it is a good sign that they are resuming work.
