For the past 2 years over 10 times I was travelling back to Montreal, I was sent to secondary screening even backing from US. Except the last time I backed from 3 days trip to NY and I wasn’t sent there. Its normal for refugee travel document holders to be sent to secondary screening, the abnormal is not being sent thereIs anyone else sent for secondary screening coming back from USA at Vancouver airport? I use my RTD and its second time they did that and this time even opened up my carry on luggage to check.. it just seems weird, they might also be getting stricter at the border
Very very normal. Is anyone else sent for secondary screening coming back from USA at Vancouver airport? I use my RTD and its second time they did that and this time even opened up my carry on luggage to check.. it just seems weird, they might also be getting stricter at the border
Any idea why they do that? Like why cant we just be cleared after the first screeningFor the past 2 years over 10 times I was travelling back to Montreal, I was sent to secondary screening even backing from US. They want to make sure that you are not going to the back home. I asked to the officer at Pearson airport. She said that.Any idea why they do that? Like why cant we just be cleared after the first screening
you think you are canadian with RTD? you are not. its normal for them to ask for security and everything. last time i went to usa and they did not send me to secondary screening, so its all depends on the officerAny idea why they do that? Like why cant we just be cleared after the first screening
RtdHello guys,
I want to renew my RTD and am now a permanent resident. Do I need to apply for RTD or a Certificate of Identity?
Thanks
I realise that its different for people. It took one of my friends 20days to get hers but took me 3 months to get my RTD. I dont know if its because my friend had a guarantor ( family doctor). While I did not ( I finally used notary public). I am thinking that's the reason but I may be wrong.I submitted my application for a Refugee Travel Document (RTD) around mid-February. Since March 24, I’ve been calling IRCC to request an expedited process after booking a flight for April 23 to reunite with my family in a third country. I booked the flight because i was encouraged by the recent processing time in which my friends have recieved their RTD. However, every agent I’ve spoken to has told me that my application isn’t yet in their system. They’ve also mentioned they can’t contact the processing officers directly unless they receive a response to the prior inquiries they transfered to the officers. At this point, it seems I have no choice but to cancel both my flight and my family’s plans. So sad.

Chill the fuck down i never said im canadian. I just thought it was a bit odd to be sent to secondary screening every time. Asking a question is a crime here.you think you are canadian with RTD? you are not. its normal for them to ask for security and everything. last time i went to usa and they did not send me to secondary screening, so its all depends on the officer
