Refugee..? Maybe.

To start. I am born and raised in the US and a dual citizen with the UK. I am 19 years old.
I met my boyfriend online from the UK. The reason why I was in the UK and not the US was because my ex-boyfriend had told me the relationship was over while i went to see my mother in the UK for a holiday. I had no place else to go in the US, so I had to stay with my mother. Then..I met my boyfriend online and I flew out to see him in Quebec Canada.

During this time, my mother became very sick and unable to work. She gets small checks from the Government and free healthcare so she is okay for herself. But she could not take care of me as well and help me cope.

I have extended my stay in Canada, but got refused once. I am in pending for now until I get a response from the Immigration. But I seriously have no place else to go right now. Do I qualify as a refugee or should my boyfriend just sponsor me? However, my boyfriend lives with his family. They take care of most of the rent and paper trails, so how would I go about showing that our relationship is real? Is there a way that everyone can show I'm being taken care of here?

No, you wouldn't qualify as a refugee. Your boyfriend can only sponsor you if you get married.

But could someone tell me in what way could me and my boyfriend show that we are a genuine relationship?
Receipts of purchases that he has bought for me and letters from his parents and my parents? We live with his family at the moment and probably wont be moving out until I can work and help pay rent.

Showing proof of rent is hard if neither one of us really pay direct rent for the house and we haven't bought any kind of appliances and stuff.
