When i check my online portal it says

Referral decision - February 13, 2023: Your application is in progress.
I did not receive any email and not i was just randomly checking my portal it says this message. I have seized my documents on jan17th etobicoke office with my family. No idea why I received this update.

Interesting but how will you get your sin number without your rcd. Because its given on the second interview unless they gave it to you on the first Interview?

I already have Sin number, I’ve been here for 2 years and I’m still student. I have to extend the SIN after getting my WP

Same msg that I’ve received in portal. Probably you don’t need a second interview as well, but also bcos you applied for family members too it would takes longer

But yours is different you were already student. And your background check is already been done mine is not done. It says we are still processing your background check. As per the thread i m assuming of getting the second interview in couple of days as its been already one month today.

Hi, you can come to Canada as an international student. I believe it’s the easiest way to get a visa. Search for some colleges. Get admission and LOA then apply for study permit through IRCC portal. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...services/study-canada/study-permit/apply.html

My children, wife and me were called by IRCC, interviewed, and issued my work permit. The new IRCC portal system is improving. I felt they are now more organized to serve claimants better than before.
In my Portal, I see now, "You will be provided with a decision shortly. " I'm not sure what does mean as I'm yet to get a date for a hearing.

How are we supposed to renew our sin number since we got our work permit and no RPCD yet.

They ask RPCD to serve as an identity. They key document to show is your work permit since the validity of your SIN will depend on WP not RPCD. in my case I showed my driver’s licence and WP.
