Refugee hearing decisions

Hi
Any one know are a court is working on that hearing which done in Feb and March but decisions not yet mailed?

2nd is there any other way to check decisions online

Hi,

My hearing was also conducted in Mid February 2020. I also haven't got any decision yet.

I received my work permit 4 days ago which mean Immigration dept is working.

However, when I visited IRB website, it says
"During the pandemic, access to IRB premises is limited to employees providing critical services only."


Can anyone please tell me if we can contact and ask them about our decision ?

My hearing was on 31 of Jan 2020 . Still waiting for my decision letter . I think it will not come until the office resume working .

Sorry for the late response. My first work permit was received within 20 days. But I heard it and I heard it right that they now take almost 3 months to approve RENEWAL of work permits. First timers may get it early.

You should apply before the work permit expiry.

I contacted my lawyer he said only some essential refugee board employees are working right now. But in general the refugee board is closed. Even if the Board Member has given a decision , it needs to be mailed by the Refugee Board to the claimant. Whether they consider it essential or not he has no idea. So fingers crossed hoping for the best !

Which country are you from and did they give any verbal decision at the end of your hearing or just waiting for mail?
