I'm guessing it went ok , but I haven't received my " notice of decision " yet , it's been 5 weeks since the hearing . Early last year, a friend of mine in Montreal got his "nod" letter in just 3 weeks , but it was a negative one.

Wow I thought most of the judges are gonna somehow tell you indirectly about the result or the lawyer will tell you.

Well , the hearing lasted an hour and half , and then the judge told me that she was gonna make a decision there ,but it was gonna take her about another hour so she said it was better to conclude the videoconference and that I was gonna receive a letter "notice of decision " on the mail . I was also thinking I was gonna get the answer right there at the hearing .

my friend good luck...i saw fellows whose cases has accepted...90% ...judges tell at end of hearing...i accept ur case...if they hold ur decision...chances r he is not sure about slme thing....or he she might be not happy with ur hearing...and mail negative decision in the have to gather all points u said in hearing...they listen recording...and put all together all points which he or she dont feel agree with u so he decode u r not protected person or person in need of persecution in ur country...

Yep , she is probly still rewinding it then , I would prefer that she gave her answer there ,now I just hope it comes before the end of January , I'll let you know when I get it guys !

you will probably get good news from notice of decision. i was on video conference as well, just 45 minutes.. then he said come back after an hour and then he read that i was a convention refugee and also that i was gonna receive a notice of decision.

Judges who mail decision. ..usially takes atleast 6 to 8 weeks...as i mentioned above one fellow atvwork place..his hearing took place on oct 2nd 2013....and decision arrive in mail on dec 17 2013...but sad...negative..he just paid to one robber liar 4000 for appeal/ review....other robber/liar said 6000...rediculus...he work low pay at factory...these robber/ liars...make money out of these innocent refugees...I mean robber/liars to immigration Lawyers....most of them r...

I got a negative decision letter today ,
Now I wondering what's next ? I now I got to fill the appeal form , but what about the prra ? Is that something they mail to you days after this letter ? Or I have to download it , fill it and mail it to the RAD too? Thanks guys

Very sad to hear that...as i said above...read my post above...but u can appeal by urself...and save.money...go to.2 or 3 lawyers get there opinion...if any thing they...suggest u...any legal point...to challenge in ur decision..
and then u can submit ur appeL by urself...to save money...but its ur choice...cha.ces r very thin...now on...to convert decision into positive...prra is later Fter appeal step...a.d then...Hmcg...etc...they r quick..now days...i.heard 4 to 6 month...for..appeal results...good luck anway...

Hey thanks Gogia for your advises, I sent my notice of appeal today ,and I have another 29 days to send appellants record , if I don't ,, it says on the website that the appeal may get dismissed.
I'm also applying on the family class thru my wife ( since August 2013) ,I'm hoping that application will move faster then this appeal. We just had a baby and I'm not willing to get apart from him neither from my wife.

Ya good point...if u have a baby born in canada..ur chances r great they will accept ur case at some stage...u anchor ur self in canada...some how i feel....i dont thing they will deport u...reason best interest of ur baby...good luck...

Yeah got it almost 18 months of wait time. I am still waiting for my decision letter.

Judges usually tell u at end of hearing if ur interview went well and tells u.that he or she accept ur case as a convention refugee...and he/she thinks u r person in need of protection...and will face persecution if u go back to ur country...under irpa 96...97...act...bla..bla...ur...case accepted. u will receve letter in.mail with in 2 week...and if hearing is not good it takes time to.collect info from ur recording to prepare about 8 or 9 pages decision...why he or she is. not agree with ur claim...it takes 8 week to arrive...but any way good.luck...hope for the best...u get positive decision on.. ur claim....
