Hello!

I've applied for asylum in Canada through the IRCC website, completed the eligibility interview, and obtained the refugee document, work permit, and confirmation of referral to IRB. I have a couple of questions:

1. On the IRCC website, the statuses for the medical exam, biometrics, interview, and referral decision have been updated, but the background status hasn't changed. Why is that?

2. The officer mentioned I would receive a document by mail within 6 weeks of the interview, but I haven't received it yet. I'm uncertain about the nature of this document.

Of course, no problem. It takes a few months in Vancouver to get a work permit, but there's no update on my application status yet. 'You will be provided with a decision shortly!' What do you think about that, in addition to the earlier discussion? Thanks.
