Hello Everybody

i am a Palestinian from Gaza district holding a Jordanian Temporary Passport that is issued especially for Gaza citizens and it has no national number, my wife is also a Palestinian from Gaza district but she is holding an Egyptian Travel Document for Palestinian refugees, currently i work in Saudi Arabia and we live there as a family.
my wife was born and lived her entire life in saudi arabia while i live there since 2009 and before that i was in jordan and before that i lived in Libya. we both are forbidden to travel back to Palestine or Gaza, what is my opportunity and my chances to apply for Refugee or Asylum and get accepted. knowing that we have a valid tourist visa to Canada.

please share your knowledge as the current situation in difficult here

thank you

As you both are forbidden to travel back to Palestine or Gaza, you are also forbidden to be deported by the Saudi government as per the international agreements regarding Palestinians who are holding temporary passports (Egyptian or Jordanian). So it is like you are on permanent residency. Additionally you are not seeking persecution protection from Jordan or Saudi Arabia.

I think your case will not be accepted as the chances are weak.

Given the nature of the legal profession, until you are comfortable after doing a lot of research that your claim will be accepted, I personally wouldn't trust a lawyer who guarantees success for a specific price in advance of your case. Lawyers tend to overpromise and under deliver. You can research similar cases on Canlii....it's a bit of work, but you will find similar claims and how the courts view them.
