Good afternoon,
My spousal sponsorship has been approved before my hearing with the Refugee board, and I finally received my confirmation of permanent resident but I’m a bit confused as my next move isn’t in plan lol , trying to figure out if my passport will be sent in the mail along with my PR CARD or do I need to call the Refugee Board and requested it ? . I would really love some assistance , thank you .

I also got my PR under spousal sponsorship after faxing passport request papers to CBSA , they informed me to contact IRCC to get my passport back. I called and sent email to IRCC they said to wait as there is no timeline for this. It's been 2 months still waiting for passport. Let me know if you get any more info this it might be helpful for me too

I’ve recently reached out to them like 2 weeks ago , now I’m just awaiting a response regarding my passport. Kept calling as my spouse booked a ticket for us to travel in January as we both thought the passport would’ve been mailed with the PR.

Thankyou. If you don't mind me asking where was your passport seized ? What process did IRCC informed you regarding passport return? I needed my passport urgently but i guess we can't expedite the process for this. I call every week and they just tell me same thing everytime that your passport is in MTL office and will be sent to ottawa office than the office will contact you. I really don't know how long it's gonna take plus due to canada post strike i guess it's getting delayed.

I was informed that my own was being held at IRRC office in Etobicoke. I told them I would pick it up once available just to avoid another wait time .

The process wasn’t explained to me step by step but I’m assuming it’s something they have to request and wait hence why when I called they told me I should wait out for an update from the office .

I was informed that my own was being held at IRRC office in Etobicoke. I told them I would pick it up once available just to avoid another wait time .

Okay. Did you also sent any email to ircc or anything else? Can you please keep updating me if you get more info. I had consulted so many lawyers no response from anyone.
