Hi all i recently got a negative decision on my refugee case from refugee protection division. In the letter they said i can appeal the decision. I wanted the information on how long does the appeals process go for? It says i have 15 days of time from the date of decision.

15 days starts counting the day you received the negative decision in your mailbox.
Now you have 15 days for appeal and then 30 days (not sure 30 or45 days) to submit the evidences (to prove that the decision is wrong and share all the mistakes were done by board member) Better to hire a lawyer.

they said i can appeal . But i m not sure i should do it or no. It just a frustrating journey from past 2 years. I had a life threatening back home and now irb dont consider my case. What is the process to get the passport back from the cbsa? I m planning to voluntarily leave canada on my own expense how will i get my passport back?
Look at your seizure notice, it might have the information you are looking for. You would probably have to email the office where your passport was surrendered and they will ask you to come pick it up or schedule a removal appointment to enforce the conditional removal order which was issued with your refusal. Contacting them directly is your best bet to expedite the process. All the best.

Hello all positive people. Thank you for your support i did appeal rpd decision and after 2 months i received positive decision and i m now a convention refugee. My lawyer informed me last week and today i received the same letter in my mailbox from irb rad. Is there any timeline to wait for 15 or 30 days to apply for permanent residency or i can do it now? Please if some seniors can help me .
