Hello,
A few queries:
1) What approach is to be followed to get a reference letter from MNCs?
Start by talking with your current and past HR(s) if they have a standardized reference letter format that can be provided. You might not want to mention immigration reason to your existing HR for obvious reasons but you can mention that reason to past HRs and it will help expedite the process in most cases. If this fails, speak with your superiors or colleagues to check if they can sign a document that you prepare (which will outline your responsibilities, position, working hours/week, remuneration etc) and you can then get it notarized.
2) Is the salary part really necessary?
Salary mentions and associated evidence(s) is typically the least important part of the reference letter and is useful only to further enhance the legitimacy of your work experience having been paid instead of voluntary. As long as the reference letter is on company letter head (with all company details on it including address, contact info, URL etc) highlighting your position(s), supervisor(s), roles and responsibilities (matching the NOC), tenure, working hours/week and remuneration (annual CTC is fine), you are good to go. If remuneration is missing, you can attach other evidence(s) including pay stubs, tax forms etc.
3) What if the employer is not responding on the request of reference letters? Do we have any alternate option, at least nothing is specified on CIC website !
I've answered this as part of Qn 1.
Thanks,
Amy
