Hi Guys,

Need your help.
For FSW, I need to show reference letters from all the organization I have worked with and ie 3 MNCs.
I am unable to get reference letter on Letter Head from my previous organizations HR and even doubtful for current organization too.

What could be the alternative for this ?

Thanks
Nitin

Hi Nitin,

Tell your current organization that you need it for correspondence MBA . So this is part of requirement. With previous organization it is a struggle but you need to get contact of exact department. Most of the organizations are having letters offboarding departments. Get in touch with them.

Thanks,
Zizy

The following is what you are recommended to do for each employer that you wish to claim points/eligibility for:

1 - Get a reference letter on Company Letter Head outlining your Duties and responsibilities. OR
2 - Get a reference letter from a supervisor on an A4 Paper with his/her business card or a copy of the employee ID attached. Use a cover letter to explain the situation to CIC. OR
3 - Get a reference letter from a colleague on an A4 Paper with his/her business card or a copy of the employee ID attached. Use a cover letter to explain the situation to CIC.

The lower the option you end up with, the weaker the case becomes.

Thanks...

If I am able to take reference letter from my current organization, Will it be possible if I show only my current reference letter to Canada Immigration ?

If you show experience only from your current employer with reference letter, the previous experience would not be counted for points.

I am talking about, If for current organization I submit reference letter from HR and rest 2 organizations I submit reference letter from my colleague.

Can you please share the link,if you have, where its mentioned that the reference letter can be from Colleague/Supervisor ?
And Is there any URL where I can see the sample of reference letter from Colleague/Supervisor ?

Need one more help guys...

Can you please also share the link of CIC website where they update the number of applications received and approved ?

That should be fine.

Can you please share the link,if you have, where its mentioned that the reference letter can be from Colleague/Supervisor ? This is practice based upon past experience and is not a hard-coded guideline by CIC. There is no guarantee that CIC will accept it or reject it. Differs from case to case.
And Is there any URL where I can see the sample of reference letter from Colleague/Supervisor ? Search the 2014 Timeline thread. There are many entries.

Hi Guys...

Is it necessary to include/show the working hours in the reference letter ?
Because my organization has not mentioned working hours in the reference letter and even I don't have any other document to prove that.

Whats the alternative for this if its necessary ?

Thanks
Nitin

hello experts,

Hi,

My company is not giving letter with duties, instead they are giving service letter(with designation and dates),
Can I put the letter on a plain paper in CIC format and Will attach my senior colleague business card, along with company service letter. is it works?
In this case to whom CIC will contact either HR contact from service letter OR my colleague from the business card details.I have only one employer.
Please list the documnets I need to provide in this situation

Please advise.

is it ok to give a reference letter sent by HR via email? It has a signature on it though.

If the document mentions 'full-time' then you should be fine.
