Hi,

I am currently requesting reference letters from my previous employers. I had formerly worked as an executive secretary in xyz company. However, I only worked there for 7 months. In this case, A. the remuneration to mention should be per month or per year?
B. Another question: would you please confirm the following documents which I can provide with the reference letter:
1. Contract
2. Paystubs
C. My company are not persistent with the job title, in the contract it is stated that I am a secretary, while in all other documents I am an executive secretary (they will not change the contract for sure to rectify this mistake), do you think I can request a formal letter where they mention that I am an executive secretary and not a secretary?
D. is the company stamp necessary?
E. Currency must be in CAD? In fact, I cannot use it in salary statement because I would definitely put myself at risk and probably lose my job.
F. Can you show a template of the reference letter?

Thank you in advance for your help.

F. Can you show a template of the reference letter?

Thank you in advance for your help.
A. Monthly or yearly or both are fine
B. You should provide paystubs, it authenticates your reference letter.
C. Job title does not matter at all. Your duties must match selected NOC's lead statement and substantial number of main duties. Again, Job title has zero value. Write your accurate Job title.
D. Your letter must be on a company letterhead where all the contact details of your company (full address, land phone, email, web site) should be mentioned. Stamp is not necessary.
E. No, not at all. Why would you do that? Mention the currency you are receiving your salary.
F. There is no set template. As long as you have the following information in your reference letter, you are good. By the way if you do not meet these requirements then IRCC officer may not able to verify your work experience directly and may tag your file as "review required". If this happens then your file may take 6 months to a year to be reviewed and finalized. Trust me that wait is not easy, so I strongly suggest you to meet all the requirements given below-

The following documents are mandatory for each work experience declared:
  • a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
    • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
    • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits;

I forgot to ask the following question:

@ishq74
Letter's content looks good. You don't need two managers signature, it is not normal and not the norm of any company (Case Analyst will suspect, you actually wrote the letter). Whoever responsible for your position right now or HR officer/manager should sign the letter. So get signature from current manager or HR personnel of the company. Check the rule-
"should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),"

Thank you so much for your help.
Yes, I have the letterhead and all the details you mentioned above are available.
My immediate manager wrote the letter and will sign it.
She suggested that I must check if the structure is fine because she did not do this before.
