Hey,

I have a question with reference to employer reference letter. I have worked as Manager Accounting and asked my ex-employer to provide with the letter which mentions my Job responsibilities. My ex-employer just gave me one line sentence on account of job responsibilities "I was mainly responsible for costing and pricing". Would it be sufficient or admissible?

Not sure it would be admissible, an employment reference letter needs to be elaborate and it should be include all the duties you performed.

Ideally what you should've done is prepare a nice Reference Letter with all your job Responsibilities and Duties and salary info etc and send it to him, he would've signed it happily.

Asking him to write something on your behalf is something not everyone has time to do. I would suggest re-sending him a revised version and see if he can comply.

Can someone help with the affidavit formal of the reference letter if I have to get it from my senior or colleague in my previous company?

Hi All,

Please tell me if this is acceptable.
I have been working with my company for the past 4.5 years. But there is no one left in the company, with whom i would feel comfortable enough to ask for a reference letter. My former team lead left the company in Dec 2016. Can he provide the reference for the entire period or should i get one more person to give me a reference letter for the period of Jan 2017 till date?
Looking forward to hear from you all!

Thanks!

Not even an old colleague left? Ex-employee can sign if he was there for your entire duration.
