Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello All

1. Am getting my reference letter from my manager for the PR process. Should i get an affidavit or Notary??

Am having confusion between Affidavit and Notary. Please help.

2. Am in India right now, and i got my Police verification done here (PCC Certificate). I have not got my ITA yet but expecting it in future draws. I just wanted to check if this PCC from India will be valid if i get my ITA quite later than 4 or 5 months.

I also wanted to know if i apply for PCC through BLS India in Canada, how long will be the process. Am in Toronto Region.

Thanks in Advance

1. Reference Letter from Employer- signed and sealed is more than enough. The only time where you do a affidavit and then getting it notarised is when the company is not willing to provide the reference in the required format.

2. PCC has to have latest validity. I would say, apply for PCC for Canada and PCC for India after you get the invite to avoid any confusion. 60 calendar days should be enough.

Am having confusion between Affidavit and Notary. Please help. Unless this letter is not in English and needs to be translated I do not think you require a affidavit or notary. Still wait on other senior members to comment on this.

Your PCC from India will be valid only if you leave in few days after date of issuance of PCC in India. If you leave India say one week after issuance of PCC then CIC might request a new PCC from India. However, since you have got a PCC from India already, it will be quite easy to get a new one from embassy in Canada and might just take around 7 working days for embassy to issue it.
