I got reference letter from my company on Feb 2015 for the purpose of extending the workpermit.
Can I the use the same reference letter for my PR application? This reference letter is almost 6 months old.

My desgination in the employment letter is IT Analyst but my job role is software engineer in PR applications and no where in the employment letter it is mentioned as software engineer, is this ok? because both are not matched. or shall I modify the job role in my PR application to match with employment letter?

Please clarify the above questions.

Thank you

Since you are still in the same company, you need a new letter with more recent date.
Furthermore, the job title and NOC are from the very sinsitive issues that can course rejection easily.

Don't go by title, the job descriptions and duties should match. I would suggest that you get a more recent letter from your employer but if that's an issue then use this and provide a nice LOE explaining your situation.

The job title on your reference letter has to match the job title you'll fill on your online application. If they've written IT Analyst on your reference letter as your designation then that's the job title you should use in completing your application to avoid confusion. Furthermore, you need a more recent reference letter.

Thanks all for your suggestions. Can somebody give me the format of LOE?
I am not sure how it should be.. Pls give me some link to refer to create LOE.

Thanks

There is no set format for LOE. You can pretty much write it down like any usual formal letter.
