Need advice for reference letter.
I worked from may 2010 to oct 2012 under noc 2173.
now my noc code is changed to 2172 (Since Nov 2012)- Database analyst.

My reference letter lists duties and designation under 2172. is this enough or the letter should specify 2173 duties also ?

the reference letter says
1. i am working full time with the company since (my start date in the company)
2. my designation ( matching with 2172)
3. generic duties similar to 2172
4. number of work hours per week
5. salary paid

This is given on the company letter head signed (inked) by the HR manager in Canada.

Someone please advice if this is enough for submitting the appication under noc a.

well, do you think they would change the letter if you ask? if YES, you could ask them to add "when you worked under NOC 2173, your duties were ....... " to your current letter if you want to make sure.

I am having the same issue:
My job title (shown on my job offer and reference letter): 1225
My pay stub: 1524 (pay stub shows ass buyer and this falls under this category. This is not skill level B :()
Duties and responsibilities: 0113, 1215 & 1225

I am not sure if the title that appears in my pay stub is more important than job title...
I am applying under 1225...

I work for a rather small organization and it is very hard to identify individual's NOC code in one category.

Out of the 3 NOC Codes you listed for your duties/responsibilities, which one matches your duties the best? I'd use that one to apply.

The one that describes the best is 0113.
But this is a managerial position and am not a purchasing manager; I am a purchasing officer.
To be honest with you, there is no difference in terms of duties btw my position and my manager's position; however, in terms of responsibilities, my manager weighs more, off course.
