Reference letter issue - Pune

Hello,

As you know, it is very tough to get reference letter from these big IT companies. I need to know exact alternative for this.

1) I wont get company letter head. What should I do?
2) What explanation should I present them and what format it should have for not able to provide reference letter as required? This explanation can be put on simple plain paper or it has to be on stamp paper notarized?

Did you ask your employer if they r not ready to give such letter. If they say they can't. Get it in writing from HR manager in email.

I have the format of roles and responsibilities. You need to put that on stamp paper and get an affadavit. Ask for business card from your manger and put email from HR , sffadavit and business card in the application. Also explain in civet letter why you could submit reference letter. Please pm me your email i will send you the template.

I am in a similar situation. Current employer not providing job duties. Do you think I should do the following:

1> Get normal letter from the HR stating my tenure with the company + my designation + Annual salary + number of hours worked in a week + HR saying on the letter that they can not write duties (for what ever reason)
2>Now, I can ask a colleague of mine to send me an email from him official email id to my official email id, mentioning some of my duties. Now can take print out of this email

So do you think this is ok?

Have you been in similar situation and yes, how did you overcome it?

Go to any notary and get it done, they know how to do it. Below is the sample template

I worked (number) hours per week and was paid (salary) (weekly, monthly, yearly).

Main Duty 3
Main Duty 4
and so on and so forth.

I am unable to obtain a letter with the job description from my employer because the HR department doesn't provide any such letter with the job duties mentioned on it. The only thing they provide with is an experience letter with the designation and the tenure of the employment mentioned on it, that too at the time of relieving. I have that letter and I shall enclose the notarized copy of the same.

Do I need to do this for each employer I worked with? If not then how many I should go with. Because my previous employers also wont give me any letter stating my roles and responsibilities. Thanks for you help.

Get it done for all employer in a single qffadavit.If possible put business cards from allmanagers along with afadavit

This is the problem with certain business cultures -- no accommodation or flexibility, my wife had the same problem with Thailand, to get a reference letter you have to show up in person and stand there with your hat in your hand and apologize that your and your problem exist and that if something can be done you will name your first child after the HR department and then look at your feet for a while while everyone huffs and demonstrates their astonishment that such a creature as you walks the earth. The problem is, you are not going to be admitted (in my opinion) if you have a series of jobs with job descriptions written on the back of envelopes (metaphorically speaking). You need letterhead, with addresses and contact information both for the business and for someone CIC can contact to verify the information. Find friends from your workplace who can go down to HR personally and ask; find the name of the HR director and see if he can get his department to do something for you; find someone who is friends with the wife of the HR director. You need this info, it is critical to your application.

If you can't get this, then get the standard HR letter and find your immediate supervisor and get them to write a letter describing your duties, on company letterhead, and then get the above-mentioned affidavit that you can't get it from HR.

did you get letter from employer or the mentioned procedure worked for you ?

now few questions on alternatives:

1) u mentioned about stamp paper, what should be in the stamp paper, who should sign it ? is it for the colleagues who will provide reference, they need to sign it ?

2) u mentioned about affidavit ? and notarization so this is from principal applicant only I guess?

please advise ?
