Reference Letter from Employer without job responsibilties

If someone get the reference letter from employer with all details except the job responsibilities and employer is not ready to add those in letter, than what can be the solution in this.
Seniors please suggest.

Scan the copy... extract the signature , write a proper letter , create a pdf and use the letter. ;D

Thanks for your reply. Idea is good, but what if they will ask original at later stage and this is also something illegal. I am thinking to attach an affidavit with this and also I have a reference letter with duties which I got from my employer when I applied work permit. I will attach that too.

You may also attach a letter from your reporting manager, on the official letter head and get it signed from him and along with his Business card.
As previously mentioned here, write a letter explainin the two letters (One from HR and other from manager)

I agree. Never ever fake a letter. That's BS!!!
Submit the letter you got, ask a supervisor or someone above you in the foodchain to write a letter
with your duties or if you can't get that either,
attach your job offer / contract with duties along with a letter explaining the situation.

That is right ,please don't do it...I was just thinking out loud kinda thing.

Since my job duties was missing in my reference letter, I have sent an email to HR with my job duties to add that in letter as I was performing same.
They said, they have standard template and it was reviewed by legal people so they can not make any changes to that.

Can I submit a copy of this email with my job contract which have my duties listed. Please suggest if this will work.

As I mentioned before, you can get a letter from your manager with his signature and Business card, on an official letterpad, mentioning your duties. I guess that should give it more worth, than just attaching your offer letter.

Just my opinion. you can decide whats best for you.

Actually, I am working on a client site and do not want to put another company letter head to confuse CIC people.

Yes, but apart from HR, no one can issue any reference letter in my Company, so I dont think this is an option.

There is no option. CIC wants a letter from your supervisor (in Canada) to evidence the Canadian work experience that you have claimed in your application. Who can issue such letters in your Company is not the question. What CIC accepts is what matters.
Anything that you provide short of this, is always a risk. It is purely on the VO dealing with your case to consider it favourably / ask for additional docs or reject your application straight away.
Some applicants have been lucky but definitely not all.

So, what you're saying is, that apart from HR there is no supervisor who's able
to use a computer and write you a letter? It doesn't even have to be on company letterhead.
I would give it a shot and submit the following documents:

- the letter you got from HR, which is missing the duties
- the letter from a supervisor or someone at your company who can use a computer, with your duties
- an explanation letter from you, explaining that HR is not issuing letters with duties and that you've attached the letter from supervisor or whoever else for exactly that reason.
- if you have, the job offer containing duties
