Thank you so much for understanding my situation
+1 for u mate.
So I got one bonafide letter from HR, in that my employee ID, joining date and designation is mentioned but it's issue under bank formalities section as HR team is not issuing the same for PR purpose.
So that will work??

And ans about my NOC doubts,
In last 5 years, 3 positions
Trainee -> system -> engineer -> IT anaylst

So I am planning to select 2171 NOC code. Can I do that?
Thanks
Bank formalities? As in, your salary paid and stuff? If HR will not mention that, you can send in your tax returns and bank statements, which can substitute for your company not mentioning your monthly/annual pay. if you do this, do make sure to note that you are doing so, and your reasons for doing so, in the letter of explanation.

As for NOC, you want to go with the one that you have the most experience in. As for your experience letter from HR, have all three NOC codes noted there- if you can't have all three noted, have at least the primary one that you are basing your EE profile around be noted on there, since you will be claiming experience for that NOC over all the others.

I am still working so I don't have any experience letter. This was my first company so I joined after college as training then Assistant system engineer-> then got promoted to system engineer -> to currently working as IT analyst
So technically I got 4 designations in last 5 years
But I want to apply under 2171 only, it fits my profile as analyst

I am planning to submit last 6 months salary slip, tax return
And HR is not going to provide me any experience letter with roles and responsibilities for PR. That is for sure.
Please advise

Hi seniors,

My current employer is not providing my role and responsibilities latter, so I asked my manager to provide the same, he is ready to provide me on my official email Id but not ready to give his ID card or visiting card.

My questions-
1)roles and responsibilities on official email would be sufficient?
2)Or if I take reference latter for higher study with ID card of my manager? He is ready to do that
3)And he has company's letterhead, and he is ready to give me that letter on official letterhead but not using his own name but HR. Would that be advisable to take?
4)CIC verify these letters??

Please advise me
Thanks
1. Take the email and also prepare a Self Declaration which should be on stamp paper and notarized as well.
2. If you are doing so, try to take it with no reference to higher studies, instead keep it generic like issued for 'Canadian visa purposes'.
3. No, this is not suggested.
4. Yes, in some cases they do. They may call up the contact number to verify.

Get a manager or a colleague to sign a hard copy with your roles and responsibilities and notarize it. An email is not an official document and should be used only as a last resort, and there is no guarantee it would be accepted. Don't submit a self declaration - it has very little weight and officers very often disregard them - there have been cases of people rejected with self declarations.

Hi,

Thanks for inviting me to respond.

Stanlee and Aragorn have adequately responded to your questions.

For point 3, DO NOT risk sending a document that was not written by the person. In the case where an agent calls to verify (point 4- a possibility that they will), then you will be in serious trouble.

In your case, you definitely will need a good letter of explanation that explains why you were not able to get a reference letter and that includes as much evidence of you salary, work times and all other details as required in a reference letter. Include the business card of the manager that issues you the letter as contact details of the person who issues the letter is mandatory.

Use NOC 2171 for all the years as the job descriptions should be similar to it. The titles themselves are not important - the duties are!

Hope it helps...

Since HR is not going to provide you reference letter, you can try the following options.
1. Get colleague or manager to give a letter substantiating your duties and responsibilities as an IT Analyst
2. If you are not able to get their business cards or employee ID copy, you can mention their LinkedIn profile links in the LOE that you submit along with the same.
3. Get a notarized Self Declaration in which you state your duties and responsibilities.
4. Submit all employment related documents which you can provide
6. Also, if your company has a LinkedIn page or website where they post jobs related to 2171, take screenshots of the duties and responsibilities mentioned there to support your claim.

I have one family friend who is working in same company as manager but I've never worked with him.

Do I need to mention my all 3 positions in ref letter?

please advise.
1. Yes, you can get it from your friend. But you still try to get the other in

2. Yes, all positions and period and duties and responsibilities associated with each has to be mentioned.

Thanks for the reply,
for point 2, I was thinking only to mention current position details
its getting complicated in letter with all different positions and roles.

is it nessesary to mention all previous positions with roles and responsibilities? if yes can you please share format for that?

One related question.. Is it necessary to have the wages mentioned for previous jobs? If so, is it enough to just have the last drawn wage?

Hello learned members,

Greetings.

My spouse has a role and responsibilities letters for two of her past employments. We are using the same in the express entry. Those are issued by the HR department after verification from the functional manager. They have provided - letter head with company logo, telephone number, fax number, website information. The role and responsibilities are written in that letter head along with HR person name, business title. They have provided generic email ID of the HR - like HR.servicecenter@xyz.com and HR.employeeservices@abc.com.

In one of the letter, they have also mentioned when the organisation name was changed etc.

We dont have the business/visiting card of the person who signed the letter. Do you think this is a absolute must condition? Or is it okay with roles and responsibilities letter?

HR guys are not ready to give their business card for this purpose.

Thank you,
Pawshi

Pawshi,

Since all contact information is already on the letterhead, you do not need to add business card of the person that signed the letter. This i sonly needed when the letter is not issued on a letterhead, so that the contact details of the signer is included.
