Hi Jagpreet,

Keep the letter with you but i think the important thing would be how do you answer the question asked by the VO.
I know a friend who has gone through this process.I would recommend you to accompany your spouse for the interview and just read your application package well before you go for the interview.

Make sure the dates and the description which you have given in the application matches with your answers if asked.

Hope this helps

Did you apply in Jul 2015 ?

Since you don't know your MP personally, and neither he or she you, I'd say there would be very little value if any at all in including one.

I agree. I wouldn't bother.

If you want to bring additional evidence, focus on things that directly support your relationship.

Unless your MP is a personal friend of both you and your wife (and even if they are), it's unlikely they would supply such a reference as it could be construed as a conflict of interest, as they are required by the Parliamentary Code of Conduct to remain impartial. Doing otherwise could be seen as an abuse of their position and could result in disciplinary action against him/her.

.I would recommend you to accompany your spouse for the interview
I'm pretty sure, the visa office will decide if you are allowed to attend the interview. I would suspect that, in most cases, they prefer to interview separately (if interviewing both parties) to make sure all the information matches. Those with knowledge or experience feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I have experience of getting MP reference letter, VO has not considered MP letter and VO rejected my friends case. although in Letter VO has not mentioned anything related to MP.

So the bottom line is, it didn't help.
