Reconsideration Processing Time?

I'm already studying the Fall 2021 term online and got a study permit refusal upon which I applied for a reconsideration since time is short to make it to the Winter 2022 term. I submitted the webform 2.5 weeks back so how much longer should I wait? They mentioned that I would not receive a follow up email if the officer decides to not re open my file, so should I raise another webform or no?

Honestly no one can tell you because reconsiderations are not common. Most people reapply and address reasons for refusal. Assume you asked for reconsideration because the VO made an error and due process wasn’t followed according to IRCC laws and regulations.

This is my entire Canadian Study Permit profile:

Rejection from Warsaw, Poland
Applied through SDS: 29th July 2021
Biometrics Completed: 3rd Aug 2021
Medical Passed and Updated: 4th Aug 2021
Rejected: 16th Oct 2021
Raised Webform: 28th Oct 2021
No reply as yet.

Reasons for rejection were unjust.
1. Purpose of visit
2. Employment prospects in country of residence
3. Current employment situation
4. Personal assets and financial status
My SOP clearly appealed for all these points.

I've been studying online since September at Ryerson University. I will not get a refund for the Fall 2021 fees so to avoid a HUGE loss, I need to find a way to Canada by January.

Along with the webform for reconsideration, I attached recent financial docs, letter for reconsideration and a student status letter from uni.

The next day, I received an email that said I would be contacted shortly with information on next steps if the Migration Officer decides to re-open the file. It also mentioned that if the Migration Officer determines the decision was rendered with no error, I would receive no further correspondence from their office on the request.

How long do you guys think I should wait for a reply and if nothing, then drop out of Ryerson?

Can’t say as they can take as long as they want for reconsideration. You have every reason possible for refusal. Purpose of visit can mean many things. Don’t know your program or assets. Did you order GCMS notes to find out full reasons for refusal as that will give you the VOs notes and if you had a case for reconsideration.

You applied late for the fall semester in the first place as process is about 14 weeks.

My sister's friend has similar situation. Hers is even a simple mistake. She applied in June 2021 for Fall 2021 term. In Aug 2021, she deferred admission to winter 2022 and sent webform. She was asked to submit the new revised LOA on her application and to take medical exam. She passed medical. BUT, after uploaded the revised LOA she couldn't signed the application. The application showed uploaded. On Nov. 9 she was refused stating failure to comply with doc request. She immediately checked and was able to signed and submit. She raised webform. The next day, she got notification that her application has changed. BUT, nothing change except her profile updated to requested document received. It's 4 days now. She's still waiting and tomorrow will request GCMS VO detail notes.

In my opinion, first order the GCMS, then contact Ryerson admission/international office see if some of your courses are going to be offered online or blended. If not, request to defer rather than refund to next available semester i.e. summer or fall. If by then, November 16 no update from VO know he/she not considering opening your file because you have 30 days to file judicial review with Federal Court of Canada. It'll be better after getting GCMS to review the detail reasons and reapply.

Order GCMS notes to find full reasons for refusal. Did you order notes the first time and address the reasons in the second refusal. What does your letter fully state?

The below is what we got; first time we did a stronger SOP and submitted, the earlier refusal for study permit said Subsection 216(1) purpose of your visit and now the below, never visited or travel abroad from India, how could this be? error? would appreciate if anyone had this before.
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your history of having contravened the conditions of
admission on a previous stay in Canada.
