Recommended pass after call to CIC

Hi there!

I recently called up CIC and was told my eligibilty is recommended passed. The security and background check is still under process. The issue is that my application is over 6 months now and I'm worried their might be an issue. I've also left my company and taken up a better position somewhere else. I'm worried if they call, the store might not give out the correct info as the previous store manager has left.

It is not necessary that CIC calls employer to verify your letter. They have other means to find out too. I believe calling the employer is kind of last resort for them.
They can verify on other channels too, website, your and company's LinkedIn page and social accounts etc.
My employer never received call.
