Recently renewed DL as form of ID

Hello everyone, I know the issue have been discussed before but I couldn’t find any recent information. My question is whether submitting application with a recently renewed DL (within the last 3 months) still triggers RQ as seemed to be the case few years ago. Does anyone have any recent experience with it? Is it better to submit other form of identification rather than recently renewed DL? Thank you.

Not a problem. CIC knows that DL and HealthCards can expire and get renewed all the time.

WHY would this be a problem ??

Thanks for your reply. Reading through this forum in the past I know that it has been one of the triggers for RQ (during 2012-2014) as It may have seemed to CIC that applicants just returned to Canada shortly before applying. Not sure if it still the case though but would appreciate any knowledge or recent experience from anyone who applied with such an ID.

No recent experience, but at one time using an ID issued within 3 months of your application was an automatic RQ. Has that changed? Not sure.
