Hi All,

I see a recent update to POF for CEC Category on 2015-03-24. And as per this

You do not have to show that you have these funds if:
• you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada AND
• You are currently working or authorized to work in Canada.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/offer.asp

As per this if we are under CEC without LMO, like me from Intra-company Transfer we need to show the POF.

Please seniors share your thoughts on this

Yes you are right

You do not have to show that you have these funds if:
• you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada ---- VALID LMIA/LMO
AND
• You are currently working or authorized to work in Canada.

Intra company transfer still need to show POF

As I am already here in CANADA, can I still show the POF from my Home country Bank?

I dont know this one... you always have CIC call center to get this information ...

Since you are on Intra company transfer and you currently work you can show funds from here and from home country as well.

Please call customer service .. please dont rely on my answer..

What in heavens' name makes you think this has anything to do with CEC? CEC eligibility requirements are here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

No mention of PoF.

No mention of PoF.

This criteria is for Application received before Dec 2014 and few lawyers have indicated POF is required for CEC candidates without LMO

What does this mean for a CEC ITA with a valid PGWP employed full time?

My common-law GF is living with me and she got an ITA under CEC last month. She entered her funds which are under the minimum PoF and is employed full-time with a salary under a PGWP. A positive LMIA is not possible since she is a new graduate and does not earn over the median slary in her NOC.

Will uploading her T4, Notice of Assessment, pay stubs and a letter from her bank outlining her financial profile (under $12k) be acceptable? If not, why was she offered an ITA?

We're still in the process of submitting documents but I was under the impression PoF was not required for CEC as it always has been. I know there are many other with an ITA under CEC who did not have the minimum PoF. This will be a huge blow to a lot of people if $12k is required...

Doesn't say anything about a minimum proof of funds here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp (last updated 2 days ago)

Update: Went back through the "Eligibility Quiz" on CIC and it only asks you for the minimum PoF if you do not have at least 1 year of Canada work experience. If you have at least 1 year Canada work experience they don't ask for minimum PoF which implies that CEC does not require PoF. I have to stop reading these forums, threads like this just get me stressed for no reason.

Hi Fitztorious,

Please let us know; if you get an AOR without showing minimum POF. It would be great news for people like me waiting for ITA.

I definitely will. We should be submitting the documents in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully they are quick in determining if we get an AOR. If sure CEC applicants without the minimum PoF have heard back, I feel like there would have been posts now about it if they were refused. On another funny note, I am a Canadian citizen and since we are common law the number of family members in express entry are 2, and as such our minimum PoF would be $14,853. That makes no sense to me. Express entry is also asking for me to do a medical which is impossible since you can't book an upfront medical as a Canadian citizen. What a broken system this is.

You don't have to do the medical or the PCC. Upload your Canadian birth certificate, passport page, whatever, and include a letter of explanation. It's a flaw in the software, but not required by CIC.

Thanks for the info. That's was what we are planning to do after reading the emails CIC had sent back to people on this forum. Kind of surprised CIC hasn't fixed it yet.

I am also curious. I also think, since you are common law, that your girlfriend might have been better off not including you on the application and filing it as a single person. She wouldn't be lying to say she's not married. What I'm thinking is that the minimum for one person is less than her salary, but for two it's more than she earns, apparently. Are you including your own financial records in the application?

Trust me, we would have much preferred filling as 'Single' but our Notice of Assessment shows us filling as common law and it could raise questions. I can't see proof of funds being an issue for our case since we are both full time employed, combined have savings over the minimum and she owns property in Canada as well. If CIC chooses to be unreasonable then we will go the spousal sponsorship route as a backup which is another reason we filled our taxes as common law (and we legally have to regardless). She is valid until the end of 2016 so we have time.

Side note: I hope there is a draw tonight for everyone waiting.

Intra company transfer still need to show POF

Hi Krishna 19 ,
I have Valid job offer of arrange employment in Canada with LMO and I am CEC applicant , but document check list asking for POF
Note-I have NOA along with T4,
As per CIC rules I don't need to show any POF. While applied for EE I have shown that I have $2,000.

Document: Proof of Means of Financial Support
If you are visiting Canada, you must prove that you can support yourself and the family members accompanying you while you are in Canada by providing as many of the following documents:
• your bank statements for the past four months
• a bank draft in convertible currency
• pay stubs
• an employment letter
• proof of assets or business
• proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees
• tax reports, declarations or statements
• proof of a student/education loan from a financial institution
• a letter from the person or institution providing you with money
• proof of funding paid from within Canada, if you have a scholarship or are in a Canadian-funded educational program
• proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada
If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile.
Your financial profile includes a listing of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts. The official letter must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include your name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the account numbers, dates of when each account was opened and the balance of each account over the previous 6 months.
You must scan all proof of funds documents and save them as one file.

Need Help, Please clarify my confusion,
Any help would be highly appreciated,

Thanks in advance.

You got that form exactly because you said you had $2000 - the forms are generated by your answers to the questionnaire. Either change that to 0 or just upload your T4 and NoA in that place.
