Recent timeline for Study visa +SOWP

Did anyone recently apply for a spouse open work permit along with a study visa? What is the timeline? Do both applications get processed together or SOWP takes time ?

Most times, SOWP is processed at different times. So you applied for a Masters/PhD, show funds for 2 people, and paid tuition. What country? Is it country of citizenship?

hiya, I did but a bit separately. Here is our case:

• 09.09.2023 SP + TRV for toddler son with upfront medicals
• 05.10.2023 SP approved
• 29.12.2023 SOWP application w/o medical
• Feb 2024 TRV approved
• March SP re-approved (bcs of deferral)
• 30.05.2024 medical request for SOWP
• 08.06.2024 SOWP’s medical request passed + eligibility completed
• Now waiting for SOWP’s OPR as seems like application is approved.
