Hi, I don't know a lot about PR and WP, et cetera since my dad and my family consultant do all work so please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I apologize for bad English in advanced.

So as far as I know, my dad is exempted from LMIA (?) and to extend our temporary residency status, he had to apply for new WP and because he's exempted from LMIA, his employer had to create a queue in his portal to provide an ID # for offer of employment with WP application. Last night, our consultant got an email saying his application got rejected because we didn't provide offer of employment ID #. So we were looking in to find a reason why we got rejected and I found out that I made a terrible mistake: I was filling out a form for offer of employment on behalf of his employer (wrote everything right, got double checked by our consultant) but I accidentally submitted previous ID # which was made couple years ago when he was applying for the old one.....

Because we didn't submitted the right number, we are assuming that the gov't didn't even get the chance to look through his offer of employment profile.

My question is if we correct the ID # from old one to new one (we still have a copy of the receipt and everything), would that still work? Or else he would have to start everything again which takes A LOT of time and money... Or is it best to re-apply for stuff like he's supposed to? I feel terrible and can't even see my dad. :( Please help :((

And sorry for such a long post...

You can try contacting the visa office to see if they will reconsider the application and reopen it. There's no guarantee they will since you made an error and the application has been correctly refused based on that error.

If they will not reopen the application, you'll need to apply again from scratch.

Thanks for your reply! Is visa office the IRCC office? Do you know if it's best to contact via phone or email? I also doubt that they won't reopen the application but I thought I could at least give it a try Contacting the office won't make the situation worst, would it?
