Received Visa But Passport a little damaged, need advice!!

Hi All,
I got an email by CIC saying my skilled immigration visa is approved and that I have to send my passport to vfs office in new delhi, but 2 days ago my passport got a little wet and only the passport office stamp got a little smudged. Every other page including the photo and my details and all is perfectly fine and the passport looks good. what should I do ? should I send the passport to the Canadian embassy? It has really put my morale down

Try your luck with this passport. I think VFS anyways verifies your passport for damages before taking them. Get a new one if sent back, but some time from CIC for this reason and submit both passports.

VFS took my passport didn't say a word. Also, I called up Passport Seva Kendra and they were like its alright, It'll do and if I really want to get it changed I should after I get it stamped. Let's see what happens. Thanks for your answer.

I am yet to travel in a few days so would update you then but I did obtain the visa on that passport. Also the passport office provided me the Police Clearance Certificate while i was in the process of applying so if it were a problem my own passport office should have told me to get a new one.

Didnt have any problem mate. Travelling everywhere with it now.

One of these passports in my group was tearing (cover) and vfs told me it would be returned.

I said i will resubmit if eBay and me to, and they accepted. No issues

Alrighty, I am in Canada now, and didn't have any trouble travelling with it or during the immigration process.
