I applied for a "study permit made outside of Canada". However, I only received a Canada Visa stating "Student" on my passport. I did not receive a study permit. I'm a citizen of a country that requires a TRV, but I applied from the U.S. I'm all confused now. Can I enter Canada with just the Visa stamp on my passport or will I require a study permit as well? (not sure why I didn't receive it).

Thanks

You will receive your study permit when you enter Canada with your approval letter.

Thank you for you reply. I did not receive a letter of explanation though. Do you know if this could be a problem at the port of entry?

One more question, I have my visa stamped on my passport, letter from university to the visa officer and acceptance letter. However I have not received an "Letter of Introduction" for POE purposes. I read in the CIC website that students should carry that document (LOI). I've been unable to reach a CIC agent on the phone. I've tried about 10 times so far. Any idea if this letter is required to have at POE?
