Hello everyone! I have a small question.. sorry if this is stupid but I am very confused with all the abreviations used....

Today I receved an email from CIC saying:

"UCI: xxx
Application No.: xxx

Dear XXX,
This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/02/06 on behalf of the following member(s): xxx"

Is this the AOR?

Alos: I've tried to access our ecas with the UCI they provided and it didnt work ?!
Thanks :)

Yup, this is your AOR. Congrats!

Sorry, wait a few days for ECAS. Sometimes it takes a bit to be able to access

Congradulation!!

If you use UCI # to access your file, you need to put your sponsor's personal information (Name, DOB, country of citizen). If you use Application #, then you need to put your personal info.

Yay! thanks for the confirmation that it is our AOR! Im so happy!

Ive tried my infos, his info, the file #, the UCI.. I guess I'll have to wait a few more days....!

Or you can wait for a few more months. Hehe.

Hi OP,

When did you mail in your application? I mailed mine to Mississauga on February 11th and have not received an email yet....I sent it by trackable post and I know they signed for it and got it, I hope there isn't anything wrong....anxious :(

EDIT: OK, I just saw your original post, February 6th, hopefully mine won't be much longer!

Hi alicia13 - come join the Feb thread also - there is a fantastic spreadsheet being put together by steler and it's super helpful!

@netkid
I am an inland applicant not outland, I can't seem to find a thread for Febraury Inland applicants, could you post me the link?
@M_iari
Are you an inland applicant?

Hi Carla, thanks for your response, I saw a few of your posts on the 2014 thread. The OP of this post received his AOR stating that they received his on Febraury 6th, does that mean that they are finally getting through the backlog? I had read last week on the inland post that there were people who had mailed theirs in January that were still waiting for an AOR? Pretty confused :/ I need my AOR to finish my maternity leave application with Service Canada to prove I have implied status.

I believed the OP on this post applied outland.

The processing for Outland is far different from Inland since they will assess the Sponsor first. And when the Sponsor met the requirements they will give an AOR and letter.

I know, the January applicants hasn't received any AOR yet. I bet it;s due to the transfer from CPC-V to CPC-M.

I really hope we will get our AOR soon :(

Congrats on your Acknowledgment of Official Receipt! :)

Start the clock! :)

G'luck... :)
