I received R.Q.(Residence Questionnaire) Form, from CIC 13 months after applying for my citizenship.
i already have been send it back to CIC with all supporting doc.
I need to know if someone have idea why they asked for R.Q. and how long they take to resume application and to do it final?
Thanks for everyone to reply it with their experience.

Thanks

Nothing serious now a days they r giving RQ to almost everyone.
But US work history,travel,un-employment are some issues.
In our case after submitting RQ docs took 3 months to test but after that still waiting.

You get an RQ when CIC thinks that your ties to Canada or your days of physical presence in the country are in doubt. One of the supposed reasons why you're flagged for an RQ in the first place is if you make frequent and/or long trips back to your country of origin. I'm sure that there's a fair amount of chance involved as well.

The stated time needed to process an RQ is 48 months if memory serves, but that time might drop since measures are being introduced to shorten the processing time of citizenship applications.

In any case: Good luck!
