Received portal 1 mail but have travel plan - Urgent guidance needed - Please help

I think the best option is to reply back to Portal 1 email if received in the next few days informing IRCC about the travel plan and NOT confirming the presence in Canada. Better to confirm that you are present in Canada after returning from travel and you are sure you will be in Canada for next 4-5 months.

In a similar situation. I have COPR number updated on Tracker but not received Portal 1 mail yet. I have to travel out of Canada from Dec 9th to Jan 9th and have valid TRV/WP.

Need advise whether just receiving COPR number in tracker and Portal 1 does not mean that one has become PR status holder and I can indeed return on TRV status.

Would have been better If you would updated them about your trip before filling out the portal. I dont think you can return on copr unless you come by road from states. I would still call ircc and plus send a email to your first email you got and wait for further instructions

Thanks for responding but I havent received Portal 1 yet. Just the COPR update in the tracker. So my question is what to do after receiving Portal 1 email ? Respond/Not Respond/Wait/Let IRCC know I am out of the country ?

In my case they responded saying that i would need to fill out my portal when Im back. But my trip is just 6 days and its within 30 days. Contacting ircc is your best option

I did not responded or logged in my portal until I received instructions from them. So better is too call tomorrow

Thanks for responding. I received Portal 1 and replied to this email. But my trip should be my own transport to America for a couple of days only (my son has competitions for which he has been preparing for a whole year).

For a few days it should not be a problem. Did IRCC respond to your mail yet ?

The response you got from IRCC. Was it through the phone call you made or did they respond back on your email (the reply to the Portal 1 email) ? Thx !
