Received PGWP 9 months instead of 3 years

I recently finished a two year diploma program from humber college. Other international students from my program received the wp for 3 years but I am not sure why I was issued only for 9 months. My passport also is valid till 2020. I called CIC agents and they told me to wait for 3 months for a response. I called them again and this time one agent told me to re-apply for extention with an explanation letter.

Please any advice from you guys would help. Any one who has faced such an issue please advice and help. What to do?? Should I wait for 3 months or apply again with all application fees again???

I think this is really up to you bro.

When reading I thought your second call was after 3 months asked.

But can't you maintain the 1st application and make another one?
I believe that would be feasible.

First of all, the PGWP is a 1-time shot, if it has already been issued to you, there is no point in applying again, it won't change anything..

As to why it was only 9 months, since your passport was not the issue, I don't know..

Did you study full-time for those 2 years? Were you able to submit the necessary docs, that stated the length of the program, courses-transcripts etc, that would show to the officer that you did complete 2 years of study in Canada?

While submitting the application I used the final transcript as well as confirmation of graduation letter which clearly states that program length is 2 years-4 semesters and the years in which it was completed. Also I did not take any breaks/gaps while finishing this program and did not drop or fail in any courses!!

Did you complete your program in 9 months consecutively? No summer/winter break?

If so, that might be the reason..
