I was wondering if someone could help me!
I have received my passport request letter via email. It requests that I send photographs in the post, and that I upload a copy of the letter and a photocopy of my passport to MyCic account.
Photographs - fine. I don't need to send my actual passport in the post because I don't need a visa to travel from the uk, so a photocopy is all they need.
However - there is nowhere MyCic account to upload the letter or the copy of my passport!

Anyone else experienced this? The status on MyCic has also not changed - the final decision section still says 'not started'.

Advice gratefully received!

You gotta send these to your visa office via mail.
Don't worry about the final decision, that doesn't change till after you land, I believe.

Thanks for your reply. So it's okay to send the copy of my passport in the mail with the pictures, even though it says in the letter to upload it? I'm pretty sure I had to upload a copy anyway for my application so it seems a bit unnecessary to upload it again!

Would you please copy and paste the PPR letter (deleting any personally identifying information)? I think that may be able to make it clear.

Thanks - the letter begins with:

]The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform CPC-Ottawa immediately by email with details concerning your situation.

(Step 1: change in circumstances - not relevant
Step 2: details about which country needs a travel visa.)

STEP 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS -

You must submit together:

1. One copy of this letter, including the Updated Information Chart in Appendix A.
Note: Visa exempt applicants using MyCIC are not required to submit a physical copy –please upload this information to your MyCIC account.

2. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2.
Note: Visa exempt applicants using MyCIC are not required to submit a physical copy – please upload this information to your MyCIC account.

Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member respecting precise specifications that can be found at:

Note: All visa exempt applicants, including those using MyCIC, are required to mail/courier their photos. **Please ensure you clearly indicate your application number on the back of your photos

I am travelling from the uk, so I am visa exempt and only need to provide a copy of my passport - however there is nowhere on MyCIC account to upload the letter or the copies. Should I just post them?

In this case, I would do three things:

a) Submit the documents via a CSE
b) Email and/or fax them to your VO
c) Mail them

In all three instances, make sure to have a letter of explanation attached explaining why you are doing what you are doing, instead of, as far as they are concerned, following their instructions. Something similar happened to me, where I got the RPRF request and the PPR both at once, and was instructed to submit my RPRF receipt via my MyCIC before submitting my visa- but no portal to do so existed. So I ended up doing the three things I mentioned above. I'm hoping it turned out okay.

Good luck!

Hi, From your mycic homepage click on "Check status and messages", then click on "View submitted application" and hopefully you'll find the option to upload your documents-its there in my case. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for your replies - I just looked on the 'submitted application' like you advised and it just looks like my application when I submitted it - all the boxes are full. There aren't any new ones - did new ones appear for yours?

Sorry to hear that. I'm a FSW 2014 applicant, linked my application with mycic few months back. That might explain the differences in our profiles.

Okay thanks - I'll try your approach! Last question I promise - what does CSE and VO stand for in your previous post?

Thanks for your help
