Hello All,

Please see if someone can help/advise. I received the ITA in the 65th draw and now for 1 of my experiences in my profile, I am in a big doubt:

I worked as a full time intern in US for 1 year and I have included that in my profile. I have all the documentation from that job but the only caveat is that the HR will only mention the roles and responsibilities from the job description. Nothing else. All my work was under NOC 2171 and though the roles and responsivities mention the stuff quite similar to 2171 but I am not getting the 100 % surety while looking at them. Here is what my experience letter mentions:

· Support project solution design and documentation including business requirements, process definition and process flow modeling.

· Support IT system configuration and/or ABAP development activities, including solutions in the SAP ERP system.

· Support IT system testing activities including test script creation, execution and documentation.

I am also not able to get a letter from a colleague as they don’t want to do anything behind HR’s back. I am not sure what I should do. Please advise.

Well it does resemble 2171 - bit more detail would be better. Perhaps your manager can help out or if you were on a H1 visa, you may have some petition documents where they would have elaborated your JD in details and you can mention in your LOE. If none of these work, then you just have to take a chance and expplain in your LOE that HR went by their policies.

Is this your only jb experience you are showing for points? How many years are you showing in total. If its more than 3 excluding this job, then don't worry too much since even if they discount this one, it will not affect your CRS. Just check if it has any impact on your FSW eligibility (67/100) - if not I I think it should be fine.

Hope this helps.

Thank you karthik2479. Yes, I do have more than 3 years if I exclude this one but I am not sure what exactly u r referring to. If I exclude this one, I should have slightly more than 4.5 years of experience by the time I submit my documents. Therefore I guess I should be fine with the 67/100 criteria. Correct ? You mean that I Should remove this from my EE profile ? I know it won't effect my points as it's the same for 3 yrs or more but not sure if removing it now will be a good approach or not.

And this experience is from my CPT period therefore I do not have any petition related documents. All I have is the offer letter, exp letter n my salary/tax statements. Offer letter n exp letter bear the same R&R as the HR says it's d company policy.

Let me know your thoughts.

Well, what I meant is not to exclude it but be prepared just in case the visa officer/case analyst is not satisfied that JD matches enough with NOC then they may ignore this work experience. In that scenario, they will recalculate your points based on other work experience records and see whether your score falls below cut off for that round.

The other thing to check is the six selection factors since that awards points for upto 6 years work ex while EE considers only 3 for max points. (See link below for 67/100 calculation and make sure you are not going below 67 if you remove this work experience)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

If you have sufficient work ex without this one and no impact to CRS and FSW criteria, I would suggest moving it to personal history and explaining in LOE that you did so because your employer was unwilling to give you the experience letter. It is better than facing any issues at the analyst/VO review stage.

Hope this clarifies and helps.
